Heart Me

Tippi in heart me, peacock blue/pink:  J.Crew, fall 2012
Martin fit pants in camel wool: Banana Republic, fall 2011
Heels:  Mojo Moxy, DSW
Necklace:  Anthropologie, fall 2012
Oh Friday, you decadent, delicious day you.  Why do you make us wait so long for your return?  I just wanted a fun, relaxed look today, so I wore the heart-me tippi for the first time.  When I first reviewed this sweater, I contemplated whether the look was too young for me, as a working mom in my 30's.  But then suddenly heart sweaters were everywhere, and so of course when it hit sale I decided I had to have it. Oh, the power of trends and marketing!  What do you think?  Is it a trend better left to the teenagers?  Do I look like mutton dressed as lamb?  I actually loved the sweater today, so maybe I don't want to hear the answer to that question?

We're headed to this Man Man-esque restaurant for dinner with friends, and I'm excited.  Tomorrow night we have a couples' shower/ cocktail party to attend at our dear friends' home, so I'll definitely be posting some dressy OOTE's this weekend.  Please stop back!  Do you have fun plans this weekend?  Thanks for visiting my blog!

  2. Like you, I am also a working mom in my 30s, so I didn't hop on the heart sweater trend also for fear of looking too young. I think the way you've paired it with nicer pants, shoes, and a necklace helps it grow up. As always, you look very nice. Your style is always so inspirational.

    Enjoy your weekend!

  5. I bought this sweater too and think is age appropriate depending on how you style it. The way you have it styled is classic. I may add a white blouse and my pink enameled elephant bangle. I will wear with either jeans or charcoal gray pants.
